- You can create a new language file by copying 'English.ini' to a
- new file (e.g. 'Tagalog.ini'), and editing the new file. Vopt will
- automatically add the new file to its language list (Help->Language)
- when Vopt loads.
-
- Acceptable formats for an "ini" file are ANSI, UTF-8, and UTF-16 (FFFE).
- ANSI language files must use a charset supported by the "Tahoma" font.
- Unicode language files must use a charset supported by either the
- "Arial Unicode MS" or "@Arial Unicode MS" fonts.
-
- When editing a language file you must attend to the following:
-
- 1. Edit only in a simple edtor (e.g. 'Notepad'). Do not use a word
- processor which may add its own formatting characters.
-
- 2. Do not add, delete, or reorder any lines.
-
- 3. Do not edit the section headers (e.g. [Menus]).
-
- 4. Do not change the keys (the number to the left of the = character).
-
- 5. The character | (vertical bar) is a line break. You may need to
- reposition line breaks for best appearance.
-
- Although in most cases Vopt adjusts control sizes to text sizes, it is
- possible that new text will not fit. If so, edit the text to fit.
-
- If you would like to share a new language file, send us a copy so that
- we can include it with new product distributions. If you do send us a
- new language file, the usual blah, blah ("... becomes the property of
- Golden Bow Systems"), applies.
-
- If you have comments or corrections to a language file, we would like
- to hear from you. Email: hi@goldenbow.com.
-
- Thanks!
